Carolyn is soaking her feet!

A few days worth of photos:

Difficult footing, but, absolutely Amazing!!!

Because we are walking along the original Roman Road!

Oh my ... how beautiful ...

"An apple a day keeps the doctor away!"

'very old church'

My handsome hubby!

Gorgeous pilgrim shell, part of city sidewalk ...
shows the way to Santiago.

Very special facade and sign at albergue (hostel).

Winery in the distance ...

Take your pick ... one tap for free wine ... one tap for
free water ... we are serious!

Oh my must we climb up there too? ... almost.

Image of a weary pilgrim.

This one is for William and Lois.

More poppies ... what a joy to behold!

A travelling cantina, in the absolute middle of nowhere!  Operated by a couple of British gentlemen for pilgrims ... fresh coffee and oranges.  Oh my what a treat ... we thought it was a mirage when we came over the hilltop! Fellow with green hat and lady with red jacket were to become our very dear friends Bill and Vicki from Australia.

One happy pilgrim ... cafe con leche and croissant.

These are for Tianna ... an archaeological dig!

May 14th

We arrived in Najera this afternoon at 4:30pm after being on the road since 7:15am. Extremely long days but worth it (mostly).

What an incredible vista!

A km of pilgrim 'crosses' intertwined in fence alongside
a very busy highway ... these are ours.

Vineyards ... beginning to sprout leaves.  ... and we see more mountains in the distance ...

As the title says, Carolyn is busy soaking her blistered feet and trying to get healing.

Very close quarters tonight ... about 100 individuals in this 'bedroom', but, sleep comes easily just the same.

One of the highlights of the day was when we were entering some town on the way today we were met with a group of young school children coming down the way, and singing to all the pilgrims. There must have been a hundred or so youngsters and they all had made little shells to hang around their necks. I do not know where they were heading but it was nice to feel welcomed.

The absolutely best welcome weary pilgrims could receive!
Tomorrow night we will hear a choral group sing in one of the cathedrals in the next stop. I am so looking forward to it.

Sending our love to all the family and friends.

Blessings
